It seems to me that a lot of people, and a lot of their attitudes, are formed by a fundamental fear of the ‘other’, especially the stranger. The Christian faith should radically transform us from such fear…
You are different to me,
But that doesn’t mean
You’re wrong.
You are different to me,
But that doesn’t mean
I’m wrong.
~ ~
You are different to me,
And I refuse
To fear you.
You are different to me;
No need to force
My own view.
~ ~
You are different to me;
Let us resolve
Not to fight.
You are different to me;
I have no right
To be right.
~ ~
You are different to me:
Compromise
Isn’t a sin.
You are different to me:
Forgiveness,
Our oxygen.
~ ~
You are different to me:
Comparisons
Are pointless.
You are different to me;
Let’s rise above
Prejudice.
~ ~
You are different to me,
And I will
Celebrate this.
You are different to me;
Together
There’s such richness.
~ ~
You are different to me,
Yet deep down
So much the same.
You are different to me;
Children of God,
Called by name.
~ ~
You are different to me:
God delights
In both of us.
You are different to me;
Both saved by
Brother Jesus.
~ ~
You are different to me,
And I find myself
Through you.
You are different to me;
I see God
Dwelling in you.
~ ~
You are different to me;
Yes, you are
Blessing to me.
You are different to me;
Thank God
For diversity!
