If a man curses God because his loved one has died,

Will God condemn him for his passion?

If a man blasphemes because he's hurt by the Church,

Will God condemn him for his words?

If a man doubts God because he thinks deeply,

Will God condemn him for his stance?

If a man uses religion to promote partisan causes,

Will God reward him for his zeal?

If a man prays loudly but doesn't feed the hungry,

Will God reward him for his witness?

If a man boasts about his faith but has little love,

Will God reward him for his devotion?

If a man doesn't care about what he can't see,

Will God be pleased with his tepidity?

If a man's actions belie his public persona,

Will God be pleased with his hypocrisy?

If a man kills, claiming it is sanctioned by God,

Will God be pleased with his deeds?
